Mr. Mohamed Farid
Chairman of The Egyptian Exchange & The Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS)

Mr. Mohamed Farid served as the Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange for the years 2010-2011. He is also a Board member of the Insurance Holding Company and the CEO of one of the financial and economic consultancy institutions.
Mr. Farid was selected as an external advisor for venture capital and financial leasing activities at the World Bank in Egypt for the period from 2013 to 2016. Formerly, Mr. Farid served as an expert on financial economics and Head of the Capital Market Unit at the Ministry of Investment, where he was responsible for following up with the Egyptian Exchange development plans, most importantly the SMEs market (Nilex) and bonds market. He was also an economist at the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade. In addition, Mr. Farid was a part-time lecturer at the American University in Cairo and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
During his tenure as EGX Vice Chairman, Mr. Farid was responsible for developing a detailed plan for the establishment of derivatives market, in addition to the preparation of the legislative rules governing this market.
Mr. Farid holds a BSc in Commerce and Economics from Helwan University. He also holds an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and an MSc in Economics, Finance and Investment from York University, UK and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from CASS Business School, UK.

Mr. Mohsen Adel Helmy Ibrahim
Vice Chairman, The Egyptian Exchange
Mr. Mohsen Adel has a strong experience in the market. He is the financial advisor to the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies and a member of the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA). He also serves as a lecturer at the ESLSCA Business School and several academic institutions.
Formerly, Mr. Adel was a Board member of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the Egyptian Financial Services Institute for the period from 2013 till 2017. He was also a member of EFSA Capital Market Advisory Committee. In addition, Mr. Adel was the former Vice President of the Egyptian Association for Finance and Investment Studies. He also served as the Managing Director of Pioneers Funds.
Mr. Mohsen Adel holds a postgraduate diploma in stock market analysis from Cairo University, He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade from the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, Helwan University.

Mr. Ahmed Abou ElSaad
Chairman, Rasmala Egypt Asset Management

He joined Rasmala in 2008 as the Head of Funds and Portfolio Management (Egypt). Prior to Rasmala, he worked as the Head of Asset Management at Naeem Holding & also worked as the Head of Capital Markets at MIBank, responsible for the bank’s equity trading as well as managing the Treasury bonds & Bills and Eurobond Portfolio. He also worked as the Head of Surveillance at the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Alexandria University and an MBA from Arab Academy for Science and Technology. He is also a CFA Charter holder and currently the President of the CFA society Egypt. He is a Board Member of the Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA).

Mr. Shawkat El Maraghy
Managing Director, HC Brokerage

Joined HC in 1999 and became the Managing Director of HC Brokerage in 2009. Prior to joining the company, he was the Chief Trader at National Securities owned by National Bank of Egypt, where he was mainly responsible for institutions sales and trading in addition to HNWI. Mr. El Maraghy began his career in 1991 in Saudi Arabia at Jamal and Khaled Al Johar Trading and Development Company as a Portfolio Manager. He received his Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from Ain Shams University in 1989. During the period of November 1st, 2014- January 31st, 2016, Shawkat El Maraghy was a Board Member of the “Investor Protection Fund” representing the Brokerage firms.



Mrs. Halla Shaker Sakr
Managing Director, Barclays Bank Egypt
 Halla Sakr currently holds the position of the Managing Director of Barclays Bank Egypt. Halla has a proven track record that spans over 30 years in the banking industry across Egypt and the Middle East. Prior to joining Barclays, Halla spent over 22 years in HSBC Egypt where she held a variety of senior positions. In 2013, she was appointed the Deputy Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer. As of 2011 she held the position of Deputy CEO & Head of Commercial Banking following her assignment as the Regional Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management in the UAE. Halla had previously held the role of MD for Retail Banking and Wealth Management as well as Head of Credit Risk Management for the same bank. Before HSBC, Halla worked for 6 years as an Account Manager in Corporate Banking at the Commercial International Bank (CIB). Halla’s vast experience is spread across the banking industry from Personal Financial Services and Branches to Credit Risk Management, Corporate Banking, Strategy, Marketing and Communication. Halla holds a BA degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo (High Honors). Recently, Halla has been appointed to be the first female Board Member of the Federation of Egyptian Banks- 2017.

Dr. Hashem El Sayed Hashem Desouky
Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Egyptians For Housing Development & Reconstruction

Dr. Hashem is one of a very few pioneers in the field of Financial Market. He is known as Master Financial Engineering who has directed and guided many Institutions and Corporate Industry to seek better and unusual strategies and tactics of how to boost and manage their business to achieve the optimum targets and goals. As a result of his long experience in the field of Strategic Planning and Restructuring, he was assigned by the government officials to strongly participate in the restricting and reform of Public Sector Companies, Private Sector Corporation. He also played a major role with Egyptian Regulatory Authorities to revisit the applied policies and procedures of Investment & Real Estate Funds to facilitate the establishment of Investment and Real Estate Funds.
He was a consultant of the development and restructuring the General Industrial Association – Abu Dhabi Government, Deputy General Manager and Head of Investment and Planning of the Holding Company for Electronics – Sakhr/ Saudi Arabia (as he was promoted later to be in charge of Middle East Region) and a Member of Senior Executive Consulting Committee at Mostafa Shawki – Arthur Anderson Partners 1985 – 1987.
Dr. Hashem is the Chairman of Egy Capital Group for Investment and Financial Consultancy which holds the Royalty of Arthur Anderson Trade Mark. He is also the Chairman and CEO of Arthur Anderson Consulting Office – Dubai.

He is the Vice Chairman and CEO of many companies namely; Egyptians Abroad for Investment & Development, Egyptians for Housing & Development, Egyptians Real Estate Fund, Egyptian Investment Holding Group, Emerald Development & Projects Management and Egyptian Amwaj for Real Estate & Touristic. As well as a Board Member in some companies: Asec Environmental Protection – Asenpro, Mansoura Poultry, Kafer El Zayat Pesticides & Chemicals and DBK Pharma & Pharmaceutical Product.
Dr. Hashem is an active member of the Egyptian Capital Market Association – ECMA, The Egyptian Businessmen Association and The Research & Commercial Studies Center – Faculty of Commerce – Cairo University.

Dr. Diaa Noureldin (Independent Expert)
Advisor, The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies

Dr. Diaa Noureldin is assistant professor of economics at the American University in Cairo (AUC). He currently serves as advisor to the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, and a research associate and thematic co-leader for the macroeconomics theme at the Economic Research Forum. He holds an MPhil (2009) and DPhil (2011) in economics from the University of Oxford. He also holds a BA (2000) and MA (2004) in economics from AUC. Dr. Noureldin’s field of expertise is theoretical and applied econometrics, with a focus on forecasting models in finance and macroeconomics. His recent research is published in top-tier journals in the field of econometrics . His previous experience includes teaching at AUC and the University of Oxford, as well as consulting for the Egyptian government, the United Nations and the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance.
