EGX Museum   

As one of the oldest capital markets in the world and one of the pillars of the Egyptian economy dating 
back to 1883. The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) proudly is working on highlights this heritage through the opening of the first pahse of the EGX Museum, displaying our heritage, our swinging pendulum, through historical collectables and historical building. EGX Museum is set at EGX down town historical building that dates back as a bourse since 1928. 

The neo-classic building with its multiple ionic colonnades is the work of French architect George Parcq
who was responsible for much of Cairo's elegant interwar buildings including Sednaoui's department
store on Midan Khazindar.

EGX Museum shares its foremost heritage with the national and international community, providing the
ideal combination of tourism and education. Our project will result from the joined efforts with 
Bibliotheca Alexandrina expertise, our knowledge of The Egyptian Exchange History and the input of
market participant interested in stock market history.


The Museum is open to the public on Sundays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to register
