EGX Museum

As one of the oldest capital markets in the world and one of the pillars of the Egyptian economy dating back to 1883, The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has proudly worked on highlighting this heritage through the opening of the first phase of EGX Museum, displaying its heritage through historical collectables and historical manuscripts. EGX Museum is located at EGX down town historical building that dates back to 1928.

The neo-classic building with its multiple ionic colonnades is the work of French architect George Parcq who was responsible for much of Cairo's elegant inter-war buildings including Sednaoui's department store on Midan Khazindar.

EGX Museum shares its foremost heritage with the national and international community, providing the ideal combination of tourism and education. This museum is a joined effort with Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Dr. Medhat El-Shazly, Engineering Consultant.

The Museum is open to the public on Sundays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. To register a visit please email us on marwa.elbaz@egx.com.eg or hend.gamal@egx.com.eg
