Egyptian Prime Minister Meets with EGX’s Chairman
Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, Egyptian Prime Minister, met with Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), to discuss the proposed action plan for financial inclusion, financial literacy, means of attracting foreign investment, and funding for growing businesses to achieve the sustainable development goals in Egypt Vision 2030.
The prime minister said that this meeting comes within the framework of the government's to coordinate with EGX’s management, and adopt and support ambitious plans aiming to achieve financial and investment inclusion.
Dr. Mohamed Farid, Executive Chairman of EGX presented EGX’s current indicators, including the development of IPOs value as a result of the of the government IPOs program, in addition to increasing investors numbers following EGX’s management Financial Literacy Program, and finally the development in the value of institutional investment.
He presented the proposed action plan and its implementation steps. He added that the plan presents a number of mechanisms to increasing listed companies and investors. The plan will work on increasing the competitiveness of the Egyptian Capital Market and increase its ability to finance growing business.
